Krista de Jong

"My paintings originate from feeling and intuition, an exploration on canvas where form and color gradually unfold."

Krista de Jong is a Dutch abstract artist based in Friesland. Her work centers on depth, atmosphere, and a balance between light and dark tones.

Rather than following a rigid plan, her creative process is fluid and intuitive. She allows colors to blend softly into one another or builds up bold, tactile layers of paint with a palette knife. Through this approach, she explores rich textures, deep shades, and subtle metallic accents such as bronze and gold.

Through her art, Krista aims to evoke a sense of calm, inviting the viewer to pause and find their own meaning in the work.
