“I once borrowed illustrations from old magazines to create collages and craft my own visual stories. Now, I draw my own and letting the vibrant life of a place I live in become my favorite living art moodboard.”
My work explores the tension and harmony between where I come from and where I am now, reflecting on the evolving meaning of home. Living and traveling far from my home country has allowed me to reconsider differences I once struggled with, shaping an identity that is no longer bound to a single culture, but enriched by many.
Plants and people are central to my practice as recurring muses; both living, dynamic, and in constant states of transformation. Through them, I explore ideas of growth, adaptation, connection, and belonging. My artwork is personal and intimate, rooted in observations of life and translated through a visual language that draws from memory, experience, and cultural encounters.
I use vibrant and varied color palettes to define the lines and forms within my drawings, reflecting the layers of cultures I have experienced. At times, these influences converge within a single frame, creating visual relationships that speak to coexistence, mutual respect, and the complexity of belonging to more than one place.
Through painting, illustration, and collectible pieces, my practice becomes a space for storytelling, collective memory, and cultural reflection; where the personal intersects with the shared, and everyday experiences become a way of exploring broader questions of identity and connection.
